New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is all-in on his young quarterback.

Kraft strongly endorsed Patriots QB Mac Jones during his Friday appearance on Fox Business. When host Neil Cavuto asked whether there were any discussions with Tom Brady about a possible Patriots comeback, Kraft made it clear he still sees Jones as the future of the franchise.

“We’re blessed to have a great young quarterback in Mac Jones, and I’m a strong believer in him and his development,” Kraft said.

Jones took a step back in 2022 after a strong rookie campaign. However, much of the blame can be placed on the team's poor offensive setup. Bill Belichick's decision to put Matt Patricia and Joe Judge in charge of Jones and the Patriots offense backfired.

With Bill O'Brien taking over as offensive coordinator, Kraft anticipates a bounce-back season in 2023.

"I think he was an excellent choice," Kraft told our Phil Perry and Tom E. Curran, among others. "And he has learning-curve experience of our system. He knows Mac Jones. He knows how to build a great offense. And I'm excited to see what happens next year."

The pressure is on Jones to prove he belongs behind center for the Patriots in 2023 and beyond. If the coaching upgrades are followed by improvements to the offense, there's no reason he can't return to form as one of the more promising young QBs in the league.
