Brady misses second consecutive practice, Gronk limited

Tom Brady missed his second consecutive practice with a knee injury and was one of three Patriots to miss the team's Thanksgiving day practice.

Tight end Martellus Bennett and special teams captain Matthew Slater (ankle) also didn't participate in practice, while tight end Rob Gronkowski (chest) was listed as limited on the injury report, as were wide receivers Julian Edelman (foot) and Chris Hogan.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported Wednesday that despite missing practice, Brady is expected to play Sunday when the Patriots visit the Jets.

Brady took a hard shot to the area above his right knee in a Week 10 loss to the Seahawks, and he was seen using a heating pad on the area on the sidelines after absorbing the blow. He did not appear on the injury report last week, however, and was a full participant in practices. He then played against the 49ers in Santa Clara and threw for 280 yards and four touchdowns, earning the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week award.

Gronkowski, who reportedly suffered a punctured lung from a hit in the Seahawks game, did not play in the 49ers game, but returned to practice as a limited participant this week.
