WATCH: Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski encourage runners ahead of Boston Marathon

Tom Brady is a veteran of hype videos, dropping them before pretty much every Patriots game. This week, TB12 posted one to help inspire runners who'll again take to the streets of The Hub for the city's signature sporting event, the 123rd Boston Marathon.

Brady tells the runners in his comment on the video "I’m more of a sprints guy myself..."

Um, Tom:

The six-time Super Bowl champion also stopped by his TB12 Sports Therapy Center next to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro on Wednesday to thank and encourage marathoners running for his TB12 Foundation team, who'll hit the streets and raise money for the charity on Monday. (@h/t to Twitter user WAD1980)

One of Brady's former favorite targets, recently retired tight end Rob Gronkowski, also showed his support for the marathoners at a pre-race party Friday night at The Harvard Club in Boston put on by CharityTeams.org, which helps nonprofits looking to fundraise through races.

Gronk playfully lined up in his pre-snap stance before shaking hands with 2014 Boston Marathon champion Meb Keflezighi, who donned a Patriots helmet and jersey.

Another of the many Patriots connection to the marathon: Former Pats linebacker Tedy Bruschi will run for the third time this year, along with his wife Heidi, as they raise money for his foundation, which promotes awareness for stroke and heart disease.
