New England Patriots legend Ty Law will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the 2019 class, and the whole process of getting ready for the special day clearly has been an exciting experience for him.

Law posted a photo Tuesday to Instagram that showed his Hall of Fame bust being made.

Here's what he wrote about this step in his Hall of Fame journey:

It is finally starting to set in DAMN IT!!! I’m going into the @profootballhof!! This has been a whirlwind experience since I got the knock on the door in ATL, but life moves so fast you don’t always get to reflect on what really happens. I was with the amazingly talented @benhammondfineart to start creating my bust and the process was surreal. Now I have to admit, my ass was hurting sitting in that chair for 7-8 hours, but it was worth every min!! Lol!!It’s not done yet, but I think we are off to a great start. Can’t wait to unveil the finished product in Canton, OH where it will live forever. I’m humbled, thankful and blessed
