Edelman leaves Lions game with non-contact knee injury, ruled out

DETROIT -- Julian Edelman has left Friday's game with the Lions after suffering a non-contact knee injury. He's been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Edelman limped off the field after his foot got caught in the turf on his third catch of the game. He immediately met with the Patriots medical staff before being carted to the locker room.

He caught three passes for 52 yards in the Patriots' first series before leaving the game.

When asked about Edelman's status by the WBZ broadcast, Bill Belichick replied, "I don't know"
