Ladies and gentlemen, the word of the day is schadenfreude.
That means reveling in another person's misery.
According to Tom E. Curran, there's a lot of schadenfreude going on among the NFL owners.
Why?
Because New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has seen Roger Goodell hand out punishment. When the other owners make a peep, Kraft is the first to point out that they agreed to it.
Now the tables have turned on Kraft as his quarterback battles the league in the Deflategate controversy.
"Those other owners are saying, 'stop your whining and take the punishment and man up,'" explained Curran. "[Kraft] didn't have a problem with the process when it was used against other teams. That folks, is why Roger Goodell has 31 people behind him saying, 'don't settle. Take this thing to the mat and to appeals if you have to.'"
