One objective for the Boston Celtics over the 2022 NBA offseason should be adding a wing player who can consistently knock down 3-point shots.
The Celtics need more shooting, so a versatile 3-and-D player would be a nice upgrade to the roster.
What about Nic Batum for that role?

Tomase: Celtics and Bucks will be the class of the East for years to come
Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reported Wednesday that the Celtics are among the teams expected to have "strong interest" in signing Batum as a free agent. Haynes lists the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns as other teams with interest in Batum.
However, Haynes also reports it is "widely expected" Batum goes back to the Los Angeles Clippers after declining his $3.3 million player option.
Batum spent the last two seasons with the Clippers and averaged 8.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in 2021-22, while shooting 40 percent from 3-point range. He's listed at 6-foot-8 and 230 pounds and is 33 years old. Batum would be a good eighth guy in the rotation who can play either forward spot at both ends of the floor.
