The Red Sox announced Monday closer Koji Uehara is done for the remainder of the 2015 season after he was diagnosed with a non-displaced distal radius fracture in his wrist. Uehara was hit by a line drive in Friday's 7-2 win against Detroit and flew to Boston Sunday for testing.
The team also said Uehara is expected to make a full recovery.
The 40-year-old closer appeared in 43 games this season and recorded 25 saves with a 2.23 ERA.
