Felger & Mazz rip Boras for Bryant situation

Cubs prospect Kris Bryant has been the best player in baseball all spring.

But not even that is going to get him a job on the Cubs 25-man roster on Opening Day.

Bryant had a .464 average with a whopping 9 homers, 15 RBI and 2.031 OPS.

All things equal, Bryant would be playing on Opening Day. But as all small market teams do, prolonging the careers of their young stars is priority No. 1 while they remain affordable, so it's no surprise this has happened.

Bryant's agent, Scott Boras, is certainly no fan of the move. Neither is the MLB Player's Association, who tweeted this out upon the news:

"Today is a bad day for baseball. We all know that if @KrisBryant_23 were a combination of the greatest Players to play our great game, and perhaps he will be before it's all said and done, the @Cubs still would have made the decision they made today. This decision, and other similar decisions made by clubs will be addressed in litigation, bargaining or both."

Mike Felger and Tony Massarotti . . . ah . . . disagree.

Listen to hear just how much.
