Buchholz: Feeling confident on the mound right now

Share

Despite all the trouble the Red Sox pitching staff has had this season, the most reliable starter has been Clay Buchholz, who is 6-6 with a 3.48 earned-run average.

In his last three starts, he's 3-0 with 0.82 ERA and 15 strikeouts.

What's working for him?

"Multiple things. I'm feeling good. Feeling confident. The defense is paying really solid baseball too so you don’t have to go out there being afraid to give up batted balls," Buchholz said. "More or less, just trying to stay on the corner of the plate and not miss middle and when you do miss middle, hopefully it's something the guy's not looking for."
