Charlie McAvoy is back in his old stomping grounds as the Boston Bruins attempt to force a Game 7 vs. the New York Islanders.

Ahead of the big game, NBC Sports Boston's Camera Guys caught up with McAvoy's father at Charles A. McAvoy Plumbing & Heating in Long Beach, New York. While the Bruins defenseman is back home, he's all business ahead of the do-or-die Game 6.

"He's focused. We don't mess with game day," McAvoy's father told The Camera Guys. "I have not spoken to him today. We let him do his thing, and hopefully he does it tonight."

McAvoy's cousin adds that Islanders fans have been calling Charles A. McAvoy Plumbing & Heating with taunts heading into Wednesday night's matchup.

“We have a lot of people that love him but of course, the Islanders, we’ve been getting chirped all week,” he said. "It’s one of those things. We’ve got a couple messages left on the machine, you know, some guys giving it to us. So I figured if we pull this out I’ll be calling them back.”

McAvoy has shined for the Bruins so far in the playoffs, tallying 11 points (one goal, 10 assists) in 10 games. He'll look to add to those totals when the puck drops for Game 6 at 7:30 p.m. ET. on NBC Sports.
