Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount, injured Friday at practice, has a sprained MCL in his right knee, but is expected to be ready for the regular season, according to a Boston Globe report.
A source told the Globe's Shalise Manza Young that Blount will be ready for the start of the regular season. A non-injury issue will keep Blount out of the first game. The NFL suspended Blount for the opener, Sept. 10 against Pittsburgh, because of a marijuana possession arrest last season while he was a member of the Steelers.
