Pro-Football-Reference.com trolls Brady hard on his ‘awards'

Normally a just-the-facts stat site, Pro-Football-Reference.com attempted to have a little fun with the controversy spawned by an ESPN.com story describing a rift between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick and a dysfunctional atmosphere with the Patriots.

The story by Seth Wickersham notes that Brady hasn't been deemed "Patriot of the Week" by his coach all season. Here's that excerpt:

Patriots staffers have noticed that, this year more than ever, he seems to volley between unwavering confidence and driving insecurity. Brady has noted to staff a few times this year that, no matter how many game-changing throws he makes, Belichick hasn't awarded him Patriot of the Week all year.

On Twitter, Pro-Football-Reference.com picked up on that and altered its list of awards on Brady's page:

There's always this coming week as the Pats again prepare for the playoffs, Tom.
