The Red Sox are in desperate need of an ace in 2016.
Based off this season, there isn't one on the Red Sox. So who could they add next season?
"If I could, Chris Sale. How about Sonny Gray? Jacob deGrom. I’m going to be trading guys," Lou Merloni said.
Merloni and Kirk Minihane both agreed Eduardo Rodriguez could potentially be an ace, but not by next season. For Merloni, one of the better options is trading a young bat to the Mets, who need offense and have an abundance of pitching.
"I’m going to the Mets," Merloni said. "I’m not going to give guys like Mookie Betts away, but in order to get guys on this list, you have to give away a Mookie Betts, a Blake Swihart."
