The NBA has disciplined Washington Wizards guard Isaiah Thomas for his actions during Saturday's game at Wells Fargo Center.
Thomas went into the stands to confront two Philadelphia 76ers fans who allegedly made obscene comments and gestures toward the former Celtic. He has been handed a two-game suspension as a result.

Here's an excerpt from the NBA's official statement:
NBA rules state that any player who deliberately enters the spectator stands during a game will be automatically ejected and subject to a fine and/or suspension,” the league said in a statement, per Smith. “This bright-line rule is intended to prevent altercations or other hostile interactions between players and fans, for the benefit of both, and is therefor enforced even in circumstances such as these when the encounter between Thomas and fans did not escalate.
The two fans involved in the altercation have been handed a 12-month ban from Wells Fargo Center.
