Cora: David Price will start Game 5

Chris Sale was initially slated to get the ball to start for the Red Sox in Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday night at Dodger Stadium.

But after Saturday's 9-6 win in Game 4, Red Sox manager Alex Cora announced a surprising move -- David Price will get the start in what could potentially be a Series-clinching win.

"We talk about it and he’s just, National League ballpark," Cora said. "He’s done it before. We hate thinking negative. But if it doesn’t happen, we got Chris lined up for Game 6 at home. We don’t have to pinch hit. We don’t have to do all that stuff that happens here. At the same time, we know that he can bounce back and go to the bullpen."

The Price redemption tour continues. In five appearances this postseason for the Red Sox, Price is 2-1 with 18 strikeouts and a 4.26 ERA, including the win in the AL pennant-clinching victory over Houston to send them to the World Series.
