James Develin may have played only 23 percent of the offensive snaps last season for the Patriots, but when called upon he was a key role player. But the Patriots fullback broke his right tibia in Friday’s preseason win over the Panthers, creating some uncertainty going forward.
“James Develin isn’t a bread-and-butter member of the Patriots offense, but he does add a little bit of spice,” said CSNNE’s Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran. “So losing him means the Patriots could get a little more bland offensively.”
