Albert Breer said on Sports Sunday he thinks Tom Brady would consider a settlement to put an end to Deflategate, if the NFL makes a serious proposal.
“I wonder if the NFL were to make a phone call and say ‘look, we’ll cut this down to a game or two, we’ll give you a fine, no language,’ I think Brady seriously thinks about that,” Breer said. “Because his history is to focus on football when football begins. And if he can put to bed what could be two years of headaches, I think he might do it.”
That’s reasonable, though at this point it seems unrealistic to assume the NFL would even attempt to compromise.
But if they do, Brady might be ready to end this nightmare.
