Belichick on ‘Cheaters' plane — ‘What plane?'

FOXBORO -- During Thursday's training camp practice, a plane flew over the Patriots players and coaches on the fields behind Gillette Stadium. It dragged a banner that read "CHEATERS LOOK UP," courtesy of something called Jets Fan Media.

It garnered plenty of attention from people surrounding the practice and later on social media, but Belichick said on Friday that he didn't notice it.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Belichick said when asked about the plane. "What plane?"

Surprised, a reporter replied, "Focused, huh?"

Belichick responded: "Just trying to coach the football team."

The Patriots began their second training camp practice on Friday morning. Fully-padded practices can begin, per the collective bargaining agreement between the league and the NFLPA, on Saturday.
