The Hanley Ramirez experiment in left field hasn't exactly worked out for the Boston Red Sox.
With Jackie Bradley Jr., Mookie Betts and Rusney Castillo playing well in the outfield, Ramirez is starting to be educated at first base with the eye on 2016.
Marc Bertrand isn't optimistic about the potential move.
"He will be terrible at first base," said Bertrand. "You think left field is bad? Put him at a position where you actually have to pay close attention and be alert every pitch that is thrown.
"It's not going to be pretty, ladies and gentlemen. It's not going to be good. You can't just throw a guy at a corner infield spot and say, 'he'll be fine.'"
