Taylor Twellman praises Bruce Arena as Revolution eye playoff berth

Bruce Arena has done a phenomenal job as head coach of the New England Revolution since being hired in May.

The Revs have gone 8-1-6 since Arena took over for Brad Freidel and now have a real shot at clinching a playoff berth. As of Wednesday, New England holds a sixth-place spot in the Eastern Conference with seven matches remaining on its schedule.

ESPN soccer analyst and Revs all-time leading goal scorer Taylor Twellman discussed how Arena's "winning mentality" can propel them to the postseason.

"I think Bruce Arena and that group actually believes they could host a playoff game," Twellman told Revolution reporter Elizabeth Pehota. "I think those are where the real aspirations are, 'cause I don't think he needs to convince that group they're a playoff team."

Five of the Revolution's next seven games will take place against Eastern Conference opponents. They'll look to continue their success on Saturday night in a big matchup vs. Toronto FC.
