The Super Bowl is going going, back back to Cali, Cali.

League owners voted Wednesday to award Super Bowl LXI to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., in 2027.

The home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers opened in 2020. It hosted its first Super Bowl (LVI) on Feb. 13, 2022, with the Rams winning a title on their home turf.

"We are very excited to bring the Super Bowl back to Los Angeles for the second time in five years," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement Wednesday. "The city did an outstanding job hosting Super Bowl 56 in the incredible SoFi Stadium and we believe that Super Bowl 61 will be even more memorable.

"The Los Angeles Rams, the Los Angeles Host Committee and many other outstanding partners will help create an unforgettable week of events culminating in Super Bowl Sunday in 2027 that will celebrate the region as an epicenter of sports, entertainment and culture."

Here is a look at the upcoming Super Bowl schedule:

  • Super Bowl LVIII: Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Feb. 11, 2024
  • Super Bowl LIX: Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, Feb. 9, 2025
  • Super Bowl LX: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, Calif., Feb. 8, 2026
  • Super Bowl LXI: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, Calif.

Along with hosting a Super Bowl already, SoFi Stadium was the site of the College Football Playoff National Championship, an Arsenal-Barcelona match and Wrestlemania 39 in 2023.

Next up will be the Copa América competition in 2024, 2026 FIFA World Cup matches and Super Bowl LXI in 2027 ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Los Angeles also hosted the first ever Super Bowl in 1967 when the Green Bay Packers beat the Kansas City Chiefs 35-10 at L.A.'s Memorial Coliseum.

The greater L.A. area will have hosted nine Super Bowls by 2027. SoFi Stadium will have two under its belt, equaling the Coliseum's tally. The Rose Bowl in Pasadena hosted the event five times.
