The Patriots dynasty is reaching new levels of dominance.
With their win on Sunday in Kansas City, the Patriots will advance to their third straight Super Bowl, joining the 1990-93 Bills and the 1971-73 Dolphins as the only franchises to accomplish three straight conference championships.
The Bills failed to capture a Super Bowl in those three seasons, while the Dolphins won one in 1973. New England will be trying to win their second Super Bowl in a three-year period. Both the Bills and Dolphins made it to the Super Bowl for a fourth consecutive year, so there's a challenge for next year's Patriots.
The Patriots' win over the Chiefs marks their 36th postseason win in franchise history, tying the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Patriots will have a chance to break the postseason wins record and tie Pittsburgh for most Super Bowls in NFL history on February 3rd.
But wait, there's more.
Sunday's AFC Championship win is the Patriots' 15th postseason victory in the 2010's, which breaks the record for most playoff wins in a decade. The previous record of 14 wins is held by the 2000's Patriots, 1970's Steelers and 1970's Cowboys.
The Patriots' run of dominance over the last 19 years has been the greatest run by any team ever. They continue to break records and provide further proof that no franchise has or likely will ever experience this kind of consistent success ever again.
