FOXBORO -- Earlier on Wednesday, Miami Dolphins coach Joe Philbin described the Patriots as the class of the AFC East, mainly because of their knack for creating turnovers on defense, and their ability to limit their own on offense.
Dolphins quarterback dug deeper into that reasoning during his conference call on Wednesday, describing the Patriots' defense as "opportunistic" in their approach to create those turnovers.
"They're opportunistic," said Tannehill. "They're in the right place at the right time. They're able to take the ball off people who aren't taking care of it when they're running the football, carrying it loosely. They're opportunistic in that aspect. they're going to get their hands in there and strip the ball. And they fight for the ball once it's on the ground. Definitely, a focus of ours this week is taking care of the ball."
