FOXBORO -- With Rob Gronkowski getting injured so late in Sunday's game, on what seemed like a meaningless play at the time, some have wondered what the Patriots' tight end was even doing on the field.
Several players inside the locker room spoke about the situation on Monday evening. And nobody is second-guessing their coaching staff.
"I'm not a coach in the NFL, nor will I ever be," said tight end Aaron Hernandez. "But I'm sure the coaches knew what they were doing."
"I mean, that's football," said linebacker Rob Ninkovich. "You're playing football for four quarters and that's the way things go. You can't really second-guess anything. That's just the way football is. People get hurt. You've just got to deal with it."
