Fantasy football rankings 2019: Top 30 wide receivers in your draft

Share

Want to find the best wide receivers in the NFL? Two words will help you in your search: talent and situation.

The perfect mix of talent and situation produces fantasy football monsters like DeAndre Hopkins and Davante Adams, immensely skilled wideouts with elite quarterbacks (Deshaun Watson and Aaron Rodgers) who look their way often.

But when one part of that mix gets left out, you have what could await Antonio Brown in the "black hole" that is the Oakland Raiders' offense.

So, as we rank the top 30 wide receivers in fantasy football entering the 2019 season based on standard scoring (non-PPR), remember: A talented receiver is only as good as the QB throwing to him, and vice versa.

Let's dig in, starting with the cream of the crop in Tier 1.

TIER 1

1. DeAndre Hopkins, Houston Texans (Bye Week: 10)
Hopkins finished in the top five in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns last season. As long as Deshaun Watson stays healthy, "Nuk" should continue to torch opposing defenses this season.

2. Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers (Week 11)
Untethered from Jordy Nelson, Adams exploded for a 111-catch season that made him the third-highest-scoring receiver in fantasy. As Aaron Rodgers' clear No. 1 target, there's no reason why he can't top 100 catches again.

3. Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons (Week 9)
Jones has never lacked for talent, and the Falcons finally got him in the end zone last season with eight touchdowns, his highest total since 2015. Expect new offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter to make sure Jones is heavily involved again in 2019.

4. JuJu Smith-Schuster, Pittsburgh Steelers (Week 7)
Smith-Schuster amassed 1,426 yards and seven catches on 111 catches in 2018. Imagine what he can do without having to share with Antonio Brown.

TIER 2

5. Odell Beckham Jr., Cleveland Browns (Week 7)
There may be some growing pains early on, but Beckham's stock should only rise after trading in Eli Manning for Baker Mayfield.

6. Michael Thomas, New Orleans Saints (Week 9)
There's a reason Thomas is now the highest-paid receiver in the NFL. The primary target in a high-powered, pass-happy offense, Thomas has one of the highest floors in fantasy.

7. Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs (Week 12)
Simply put, Hill is the most explosive player in a potent Chiefs offense. He may not reach his 2018 total of 14 touchdowns, but he should be off the board within the first two rounds.

8. Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Week 7)
Speaking of explosive: Evans' 17.7 yards per catch in 2018 was the highest average among players with at least 75 targets. He's still an elite WR1 despite the emergence of Chris Godwin. Just keep an eye on that leg injury.

9. Antonio Brown, Oakland Raiders (Week 6)
Oakland's leading receiver in 2017 and 2018? Tight end Jared Cook. Brown obviously has the skill set, but expect a drop from the gaudy numbers he posted in Pittsburgh.

10. Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers (Week 12)
Allen is an elite WR1 when he's healthy, as evidenced by the 199 catches, 2,589 yards and 12 touchdowns he's tallied over the last two seasons.

TIER 3

11. Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings (Week 12)

12. T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts (Week 6)

13. Amari Cooper, Dallas Cowboys (Week 8)

14. Stefon Diggs, Vikings (Week 12)

15. Julian Edelman, New England Patriots (Week 10)

16. Brandin Cooks, Los Angeles Rams (Week 9)

17. Robert Woods, Rams (Week 9)

TIER 4

18. Tyler Lockett, Seattle Seahawks (Week 11)

19. Kenny Golladay, Detroit Lions (Week 5)

20. Cooper Kupp, Rams (Week 9)

21. A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals (Week 9)

22. D.J. Moore, Carolina Panthers (Week 7)

23. Tyler Boyd, Bengals (Week 9)

TIER 5

24. Calvin Ridley, Falcons (Week 9)

25. Jarvis Landry, Browns (Week 7)

26. Alshon Jeffery, Philadelphia Eagles (Week 10)

27. Allen Robinson, Chicago Bears (Week 6)

28. Robby Anderson, New York Jets (Week 4)

29. Christian Kirk, Arizona Cardinals (Week 12)

30. Mike Williams, Chargers (Week 12)
