ARLINGTON, Texas -- Here are the talking points from the Red Sox' 7-4 loss to the Texas Rangers Friday.
STAR OF THE GAME: Josh Hamilton
The troubled outfielder did it all, smacking two solo homers and reaching on a walk while scoring three of the Rangers' seven runs.
HONORABLE MENTION: Robinson Chirinos
The Rangers catcher guided starter Yovani Gallardo through six innings of two-run ball and also helped out at the plate, with a run-scoring single in the seventh and an RBI-double in the eighth.
GOAT OF THE GAME: Craig Breslow
The veteran lefty faced seven hitters and allowed five to reach from the seventh through the eighth inning as the Rangers tacked on four late runs.
