Boston sports fans are a notorious bunch. Between Green Teamers, Bruins diehards and the Fenway Faithful, New Englanders make it known just how much they love their teams. When it comes to the Patriots, even some of the worldâs biggest celebrities are on board.
Some of these A-listers have stood with the Patriots through thick and thin, while others have notorious blemishes on their fan rĂ©sumĂ©s. Here are some of the globeâs most notable Pats fans:
Jon Bon Jovi

It wouldnât be a list of famous Patriots fans without the leading man who sits next to Robert and Jonathan Kraft in the owners box. He is routinely shown on Patriots broadcasts taking in games next to the longtime team owner, but his biggest presence in Foxboro comes through the speakers. Two of Bon Joviâs most famous songs, âLivinâ on a Prayerâ and particularly âThis Is Our House,â are Gillette Stadium anthems that play a major part in the gameday experience.
His friendship with Robert Kraft even extends beyond the gridiron, as seen in the video above.
Mark Wahlberg
Wahlbergâs fandom was under heavy scrutiny after he left Super Bowl 51 in Houston before the Patriots completed their miracle 28-3 comeback against the Atlanta Falcons. The Dorchester native initially said the early exit came because his son, Brendan, was not feeling well, but he later clarified that the real reason he left is because Brendan was incensed with the game.
New England Patriots
The star of âTed,â âThe Departedâ and âPatriots Dayâ put more faith in the team with a âheftyâ bet on the Patriots to win the 2019 championship, which they did with a 13-3 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 53.
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck
The two âGood Will Huntingâ stars are as synonymous with Boston as any two celebrities on Earth. The two also had some varying reactions to Tom Brady and the Patriotsâ Deflategate scandal.
Affleck went on a rant in which he called the situation âthe ultimate bulls***, f****** outrage of sports everâ during an interview with Bill Simmons on HBO (you can watch the NSFW interview here). Damon, on the other hand, saw it as an opportunity for Brady to come back angry.
Damonâs theory proved right, as Brady led New England to the Super Bowl 51 victory after serving a four-game suspension at the start of the season.
Chris Evans
He may have served as Captain America, but Evansâ football allegiance goes to New England. Unlike Wahlberg, Evans stayed at NRG Stadium through the end of Super Bowl 51 and shared a relatable reaction to James Whiteâs winning touchdown.
Evansâ voice is now associated with Patriots lore as he narrated the âAmericaâs Gameâ documentaries following the franchiseâs Super Bowl 49 and Super Bowl 51 victories.
Gisele BĂŒndchen
OK, this one is a bit more complicated.
It is common Patriots knowledge that BĂŒndchen is married to Brady, and it is common Patriots knowledge that Brady no longer plays in New England. But BĂŒndchenâs message to Boston and the Patriots faithful from 2020 shows she still has love for the team:
"Boston has been so good to us and will always be in our hearts. We will forever have wonderful memories. Our kids were born and raised there and we have made special friendships to last a lifetime.
"Iâll miss our friends, the beautiful change of seasons and the rides to the stadium to go cheer for Tom and the Pats. Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of my husband and our family throughout all these years."
Even if she is now watching Brady win Super Bowls in Tampa Bay, she knows just how special the quarterbackâs time in Boston was.
