Patriots sign center Jake Eldrenkamp to reserve/future contract

The New England Patriots announced several roster moves on Tuesday, but it wasn't their only transaction of the week.

UPDATE (Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 5 p.m. ET): The Patriots have added another player on a reserve/future contract, per ESPN's Mike Reiss.

They have signed center Jake Eldrenkamp to a reserve/future contract, per ESPN's Mike Reiss. Eldrenkamp is not eligible to play this season.

Eldrenkamp played four seasons at the University of Washington before being signed to the Los Angeles Rams practice squad last season. He has spent time on the Cleveland Browns practice squad this season, but he has not yet played in a regular season NFL game. He has played in eight preseason games for the Rams over the last two years.

Eldrenkamp was named the Pac-12 football scholar athlete of the year during the 2016 college football season.
