Julian Edelman's beer chug sends TD Garden crowd into a frenzy at Bruins-Maple Leafs Game 7

Julian Edelman waved the honorary flag as Bruins banner captain prior to Game 7 vs. the Maple Leafs, but that wasn't his most memorable moment of the night.

During the first period, Edelman got the TD Garden crowd even louder with a beer chug on the jumbotron.

It seems Edelman's energy rubbed off on the Bruins as the B's finished the first period with a 2-0 lead over Toronto and went on to beat the Leafs, 5-1.

Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy spoke after the game about Edelman's beer chug, and he was a fan of what he saw.

"Julian Edelman chugging a beer was awesome," Cassidy said. "Probably got everyone fired up including us. Good for him. We’ll return the favor at some point down the road, but I thought it was outstanding. That’s Game 7 playoff hockey for you right there."
