The first round of the NBA playoffs is complete, and the conference semifinals are currently underway.

The Philadelphia 76ers earned the lone sweep of the first round, dispatching the Brooklyn Nets in four games. Two teams from each conference then completed gentlemen's sweeps to create new matchups. There was only one Game 7 in the first round, and it cemented the final โ€“ and perhaps most intriguing โ€“ second-round showdown.

Now that the playoff field has shrunk to eight, here is a look at the second-round schedule:

What are the 2023 NBA second-round playoff matchups?

All four matchups have been set.

In the West, the No. 1 Denver Nuggets eliminated the No. 8 Minnesota Timberwolves in five games to advance to the second round. Then, the No. 4 Phoenix Suns punched their ticket to play Denver after eliminating the No. 5-seeded Los Angeles Clippers, also in five games.

The next comes from the East, where the No. 5 New York Knicks eliminated the No. 4 Cleveland Cavaliers in five games and the No. 8 Miami Heat did the same in shocking fashion against the No. 1 Milwaukee Bucks.

The No. 2 Boston Celtics could've punched their ticket on Tuesday to face the No. 3 Sixers, but they blew a double-digit lead late at home to the No. 7-seeded Atlanta Hawks. The Celtics finished off the series on Thursday with a Game 6 win in Atlanta to finalize their second-round series against the Sixers.

Then the No. 6 Golden State Warriors saw Stephen Curry drop an extraordinary 50-piece in Game 7 to eliminate the No. 3 Sacramento Kings on the road, which will pit them against yet another California team.
