The Red Sox made a series of minor free-agent signings Thursday, in addition to getting close on a deal with Bobby Jenks.

They announced that they signed right-handed reliever Matt Albers to a one-year deal. Albers spent last season with the Orioles after starting his major-league career with the Astros. He was 5-3 with a 4.52 ERA in 62 appearances with Baltimore in 2010. He will be 28 next year.

The Red Sox also signed pitcher Ryan Harvey to a minor-league contract. Harvey, 26, was the No. 6 overall selection in the 2003 draft, and he spent the last eight years in the minor leagues with the Cubs and Rockies organizations. He never advanced above the Double-A level.

Lastly, according to ESPNBoston.com, Boston signed left-handed pitcher Andrew Miller. The Red Sox acquired Miller from the Marlins in mid-November but non-tendered him this winter, making him a free agent.
