As Marcus Stroman ended the sixth inning in the Blue Jays' win Sunday at Fenway Park with a strikeout of Eduardo Nunez, he celebrated by shouting at the Red Sox bullpen. On the Red Sox broadcast, Dennis Eckersley called Stroman's celebration "tired."
Stroman then took to Twitter to call out Eckersley for his comments on the air and didn't hold back, calling him a "clown" and a "hypocrite"
It's hard to tell someone else to stop celebrating when they're handing it to the defending champs for the second game in a row. The next time Stroman takes the mound, he probably won't tone down his celebrations either.
And the Red Sox' job will be to keep him from celebrating because that's the only thing you can do in that situation. Just score runs on him.
