Morning Skate: McGuire says look for Marchand suspension

Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading. while getting interested in Black Mirror on Netflix...It’s a pretty solid anthology show with a Twilight Zone feel to it.

*FOH (Friend of Haggs) Pierre McGuire jumped on with TSN Radio in Ottawa and said he thinks Brad Marchand is going to get dinged by the league for his elbow on Marcus Johansson.

*Congrats to B’s prospect and Harvard hockey star Ryan Donato, who is absolutely tearing it up for the Crimson right now. Donato is going to be very fun to watch once he gets overseas for Team USA at the Olympics.

*Patrick Maroon is in his walk year, but wants to stay with the Edmonton Oilers. I’m not sure that’s going to be possible given their salary cap situation and given the way things are going for that team this season.

*There’s something odd going on with Brandon Dubinsky, who was sent home from their current road trip by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

*An interesting look forward at what the Connor McDavid-Jack Eichel rivalry might look like 10 years down the line.

*There’s nothing better than NHL nicknames, right Jay and Dan?

*For something completely different: Have we really reached the point where we need Glow-In-The-Dark donuts?
