Marc Savard waves honorary flag as Bruins banner captain for Game 5 vs. Maple Leafs

It was a special moment for Marc Savard at TD Garden as the former Bruin got to wave the honorary flag as banner captain before Game 5 vs. the Maple Leafs.

Savard spent five seasons in Boston before his career was cut short due to head injuries. Friday night was his first time back at the Garden since the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, and it's safe to say he was fired up to return.

Afterward, Savard took to Twitter to reflect on the "emotional" experience.

Savard remains beloved by Bruins fans, so it's cool to see his pitch to be the team's banner captain for a game this series didn't go unnoticed.
