Josh Gordon's scary-looking leg twist ‘not a major injury,' per report

The New England Patriots can ill afford more serious injuries in their wide receiver corps. And it seems they'll get their wish.

Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon's knee injury he suffered Thursday night against the New York Giants is not considered serious, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported Friday morning.

"The good news for the Patriots is Josh Gordon was spotted in the second half riding the (stationary) bike," Rapoport said on NFL Network. "That indicates, one, he had a chance to come back ... and two, that it is not a major injury for Josh Gordon."

Gordon suffered the injury trying to tackle Markus Golden near the end zone after the Giants linebacker recovered a fumble in the second quarter. Gordon's left leg awkwardly buckled underneath him, and he walked gingerly off the field and didn't return for the rest of the game, finishing with just one catch for seven yards.

The Patriots and their undermanned wide receiver corps pulled out a 35-14 win, though, and Gordon now has 10 full days to recover, as New England doesn't play again until next Monday night against the New York Jets.

Considering the Patriots finished Thursday's game with Julian Edelman, Jakobi Meyers and Gunner Olszewski as their top three wideouts, they'll be hoping Gordon can recover before Week 7.
