Jeb Bush: Belichick was ‘football geek' in high school

Everybody remembers their high school yearbook.

But most of us can only imagine what some of those sections - class superlatives, maybe? - look like at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, essentially a who's who of some of today's most successful people.

And some Phillips Andover yearbooks floating around will have not only Bill Belichick's picture in it, but Republican Presidential candidate Jeb Bush's as well.

The two went to high school together back in the day, and despite what seems like opposite high school experiences (Bush didn't sound like a good student) they've clearly gone on to have successful careers in their respective fields.

Bush talked with FOX Sports 1, an interview that airs Friday at midnight, and was asked about his high school days with Belichick and the relationship they had.

"I remember him being a football geek, even back then," Bush said. "He and Ernie Adams, who I think still is associated with Belichick. They went to high school and they've had this storied career all the way through and just brilliant football geniuses."

It's not a surprise to hear how into football Belichick and Adams were back then, but it's still funny to picture a teenaged Belichick mulling over football plays with Adams by his side.

Bush also recently admitted publicly at the Republican debate that he smoked weed in high school. But Bush was quick to say that he never smoked with Belichick, before jokingly saying, "I don't know why I'm the only guy that has to come clean on this."
