Since 2000, Bill Belichick has coached the New England Patriots for 383 games, the latest a 35-29 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

In the setback, which dropped New England to 0-4 at home for the first time since 1993, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott set a new mark for passing yards against a Belichick-coached Patriots team.

Prescott set the record on his final throw of the game, a 35-yard touchdown pass to CeeDee Lamb with 3:52 left in overtime.

As a team, Dallas had 567 yards of offense -- also the most allowed by New England since 2000, surpassing the 538 allowed in Super Bowl LII against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Prescott surpassed Peyton Manning's mark of 438 yards against a Belichick-coach Patriots team, though Manning accomplished the feat in a 43-21 loss to the Patriots in 2014.

Sunday was just the eighth time a quarterback had thrown for more than 400 yards against the Patriots in the Belichick era; said passers had been 2-5 entering the day.

While Prescott needed overtime to set the record, don't overlook some of the throws he made in regulation -- such as a 24-yard pass to Lamb on third-and-25 late in the fourth quarter to get the Cowboys in position to tie the game at 29-all on a Greg Zuerlein 49-yard field goal.
