Chris Hogan leaves with shoulder injury, wearing a sling in the locker room

FOXBORO -- Chris Hogan has taken his fair share of shots this season, and he was forced to leave Sunday's win over the Chargers after absorbing another.

The Patriots receiver left the game in the fourth quarter with a shoulder injury, and he was spotted wearing a sling on his right arm in the locker room after the game. According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, Hogan is scheduled for an MRI Monday morning.

Hogan has been slow to peel himself off the turf on multiple occasions this season, including after he took a hard shot to his right arm from linebacker Hayes Pullard, who contacted Hogan with his helmet. Hogan also labored to get up on a deep incompletion against the Chargers when he was double-covered and hit the ground with the force of a couple of bodies on top of him.

He lost two teeth two weeks ago during a collision with tight end Jacob Hollister. He took a brutal shot to the ribs that landed him on the injury report following a win over the Jets in Week 6. Every week, it seems, he's getting blasted.

"Chris is a tough kid," Bill Belichick said in a press conference last week. "I'd say all of our receivers are. It's a good group, a tough group, they block, they're tough, they're competitive."

Hogan finished the Chargers game with five catches for 60 yards on seven targets. He had a shot at a long touchdown in the second quarter, but Tom Brady didn't see him streaking through the Los Angeles defense. Instead, he opted to throw deep to Brandin Cooks off of a flea-flicker and it fell incomplete.

The Patriots had eight different receivers catch passes in Sunday's win.
