In a surprising move, the Patriots released Leigh Bodden last Friday.
Now, some not-so-surprising news -- he's visiting with other teams.
CSNNE.com Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran confirmed that Bodden met with the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, reported by ESPN. The Chiefs started the season 0-3, but have since won four straight games -- propelling them to a tie for first in the AFC West.
Currently, the Chiefs rank 22nd in the NFL in total defense, giving up 373.6 yards per game. They rank 20th in the league in passing defense, giving up 251.4 yards through the air.
As reported by Tom E. Curran earlier this week, Bodden cleared waivers, which means the Patriots have to pay the remainder of his salary for the rest of the season, making the release that much more confusing.
Hard to believe he couldn't help out against the Steelers.
