FOXBORO -- If the NFL had not flexed its scheduling muscle, the Patriots' game against Indianapolis would be nearly half over by now. But as the Andrew Luck-led Colts are better than anticipated -- matching its own 6-3 record against New England's -- kickoff was moved to 4:25 PM and right now, we are instead watching player just begin to warm up.
There are close to 20 Indianapolis players, including Luck, running around on Gillette's turf with two hours to go. The thermometer reads 47 degrees, but judging by the way these Colts have hoods up, hats on, and keep breathing on their clenched hands, it likely feels colder in the stadium shade. Keep in mind, the temperature will go down even further as the sun does. At least the current eight mile-per hour Northeast wind should also taper off.
One of these teams will improve to seven wins on the season. It won't be long before we find out which.
