After playing well for most of the first quarter, the Pacers capped the quarter off with a 10-0 run and led, 29-24 after the first.
From there, Indiana pulled ahead by as many as 13 in the second before settling on a 56-48 halftime lead.
The third quarter was more of the same as Indiana's control only increased. One of the few positives for Boston was the scoring of Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett who each finished with 21 points.
But the poor finish in the first, continued problems rebounding the ball and a rotation that has little to no chemistry, were all factors that ultimately sealed the Celtic's fate.
