Jeff Green came up huge against the Thunder on Friday, scoring 17 points in the Celtics win. But then on Sunday he went 0-for-9 from the field and scored just one point. What gives?
"I think people get hung up on him scoring," Donny Marshall said after the game. "Meaning it's a good game if he scores. You heard Doc Rivers. 'He played a good game, he just didn't score.' That's good enough for me."
While there's truth to what Rivers and Marshall have said, the fact of the matter is, if a player who's expected to be an offensive threat misses all of his shots from the field, he's going to be criticized, like it or not.
