Aside from Rajon Rondos Halloween costume last year, there are not too many ties between Tiger Woods and the Boston Celtics.

But a day after the NBA canceled games scheduled during the first two weeks of the regular season, Woods was asked about -- what else? -- the lockout during the Chevron World Challenge Media Day.

The California native expressed his disappointment about the current situation . . . and found a silver lining for the Celtics.

Yeah, of course I'm bummed, he said. I think anybody who is an NBA fan is certainly bummed. I know that probably one person who is happy is probably Doc Rivers. I mean, with the age of his team, it's nice for them to only play half-a-season. It's true. It's a fact, come on.

Woods then shifted gears to the his hometown team.

But as far as us out west, I'm looking forward to the Lakers getting back there and we'll see what they do, he continued. The problem is, you can't talk to anybody. You can't see who is potentially on the block of being traded, what kind of deals can we do? Nothing can be happening.

So as a fan, it's disconcerting because I'm excited about what we could add to the team, but it's also I understand this is business, and everyone in this business wants to make money. I know the owners were losing a bunch of money, and some of the markets were feeling the effects. They can't draw certain players, so they're just trying to make it fair for everybody so everybody can win.

While Woods shared his take on the NBA lockout, many of the Celtics themselves have been mum on Twitter since the cancellation.

Leading up to the announcement, Carlos Arroyo (@carlosarroyopr) encouraged his followers to retweet LET US PLAY StandUnited, a hashtag many other NBA players used as well. The following day, Glen Davis (@iambigbaby11) tweeted, "Let us play!!!!!!

Since then, Rondo (@RajonRondo) has tweeted about products he is involved witha reminder for a live tweet chat with iRenew Products coming up on Friday and a link to his cover story on Red Bulletin from Red Bull.

Paul Pierce (@paulpierce34) continued to promote his Truth on Health Campaign, linking to a post on TruthonHealth.org about teamwork.

Delonte West (@CharleeRedz13), who went on a tweeting spree after landing a new job at a furniture company, has not tweeted since September 29. Jermaine ONeal (@jermaineoneal) has not posted anything since September 7, when he engaged in some friendly banter with Jared Dudley about the Impact Training Competitive Basketball Series.
