The Boston Celtics will have a healthy frontcourt Wednesday for the first time in nearly a month.
Tristan Thompson has returned from health and safety protocols and is available to play in the Celtics' game against the New York Knicks at TD Garden, per the team's injury report.
Thompson hasn't played since March 13 while in the NBA's protocol and has missed Boston's last 13 contests. His return should provide a boost to a frontcourt that has had to turn to Tacko Fall and newcomers Luke Kornet and Moritz Wagner to spell starting center Robert Williams in the wake of the Daniel Theis trade.

Forsberg: Any optimism about a Celtics turnaround has vanished
That's the good news for the Celtics. The bad news is that Evan Fournier remains out due to health and safety protocols. Head coach Brad Stevens said Tuesday it's unlikely that Fournier plays this week.
Point guard Kemba Walker also will sit out the second night of the team's back-to-back, as he's done all season. The C's could use a win against the Knicks, who are tied with Boston at 25-26 for the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference.
