Rajon Rondo facing yet another suspension after fight with Chris Paul

Share

Rajon Rondo's been suspended plenty of times in his career, but usually it's not because of anything he's done to an opponent.

That will probably change sometime today.

The ex-Celtics guard actually exchanged punches -- a rarity in most NBA fights - with the Rockets' Chris Paul in last night's Houston-Lakers game at the Staples Center. Paul claimed Rondo spit at him, which Rondo vehemently denies, but the two had quite the battle:

And to think people figured we'd remember this night for being LeBron James' home debut as a Laker.

Paul threw the first punch, so speculation is Rondo's suspension could be for as little as one game. No matter how short or long, though, being suspended is nothing new for Rondo:

DECEMBER 2016 -- Suspended for one game by Bulls for conduct detrimental to the team

DECEMBER 2015 -- Suspended for one game for a homphobic slur directed at a referee

FEBRUARY 2015 -- Suspended for one game by Mavericks for conduct detrimental to the team

JANUARY 2014 -- Suspended two games by NBA for retaliating against Kris Humphries for a hard foul on Kevin Garnett

APRIL 2012 -- Suspended for one playoff game for making contact with an official

FEBRUARY 2012 -- Suspended two games by NBA for throwing a ball at a referee
