Podcast: Forsberg, Scalabrine give instant analysis of Kemba trade

The Boston Celtics made their first major offseason move Friday by trading point guard Kemba Walker to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The C's also sent a 2021 first-round pick (No. 16 overall) and a 2025 second-round pick to the Thunder in exchange for centers Al Horford and Moses Brown, as well as a 2023 second-rounder.

In an emergency edition of the Celtics Talk Podcast, Chris Forsberg and Brian Scalabrine gave their instant analysis of the trade and how it will impact the team going forward.

"I think in the Kemba Walker era, it's just one of those things where because he can't play in those back-to-backs and then he got hurt in the playoffs, if he is 5 percent hurt -- and I think he was worse than that -- then he's ineffective at 5-foot-11," Scalabrine said.

"Al Horford could lose a step and still impact winning because of his length and athleticism, and he's a guy who has some size to him. I do think the move is a good one."

Also in this new episode: Forsberg and Scalabrine discuss Moses Brown's potential impact, the Celtics' open head coach job and more.
