Markelle Fultz out indefinitely with shoulder injury

While the Jayson Tatum era is off to a terrific start, the other side of this summer's trade isn't doing so hot.

The 76ers announced over the weekend that Markelle Fultz will be shut down indefinitely due to "soreness and scapular muscle imbalance" in his right shoulder. The team plans on re-evaluating him in three weeks.

Taken with the first overall pick after Philly traded No. 3 and a protected future first-round pick to the Celtics,  Fultz has played in four games this season. His start to the season was overshadowed by questions about his health and revamped shooting mechanics. The rookie point guard has averaged 6.0 points, 1.8 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game.

Tatum, on the other hand, has started all six of Boston's games thus far, averaging 15.2 points, 1.7 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game.
