Jayson Tatum honors pair of legends with outfit prior to Game 2

Following an underwhelming scoring performance in Game 1 of the NBA Finals,ย Jayson Tatumย is due for a bounce-back showing as the Boston Celtics look to go up 2-0 on the Golden State Warriors.

With his pregame outfit of choice, Tatum has almost no choice but to go off on the offensive end at the Chase Center on Sunday.

Tatum arrived for Game 2 rocking a shirt depicting two of the greatest players in basketball history in Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, creating the impression he's ready to improve off his 3 for 17 showing in Game 1:

Between Jordan and Bryant, Tatum's shirt features 11 NBA championships and eight NBA Finals MVP awards.

It's no secret that Tatum idolizes the late Bryant, having worn the same outfit to a shootaround earlier in the day that Bryant wore for a pre-draft workout for the Celtics once upon a time. Tatum also wore a purple armband in honor of Bryant for Boston's Game 7 win over the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.

If the Celtics do take a 2-0 lead over the Warriors before the series shifts back to Boston, you have to figure Tatum is going to have a starring role -- which, despite an off night in the series opener, could get him one step closer to earning a Finals MVP and on the board with Jordan and Bryant.
