The Boston Celtics needed to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night to finish off their seven-game homestand with a winning record.
It took a lot for them to do that, but they managed a victory.
The C's trailed by as many as 17 points but roared back in the fourth quarter. They had an 11-point lead late and it looked all but over.

Then, the Timberwolves came storming back. D'Angelo Russell banked home a 3-point to tie the game with less than 10 seconds left. Jayson Tatum had a chance to win it late, but great defense from the Timberwolves sent the game to overtime.
In OT, Tatum and Kemba Walker helped get some key buckets for the C's and allowed them to pull ahead late to earn the win.
Tatum was the star for the Celtics, logging a career-high 53 points during the game. Marcus Smart had a good game as well, notching 23 points, eight assists, six boards, and passing Larry Bird for sole possession of the fourth-place mark on the Celtics' all-time 3-pointers made list.
